MasterBus Privacy Policy
MasterBus (the “Service”) is a suite of web apps operated by Now You Know Nashville LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”). This policy explains what information we collect when you use the public MasterBus hub and its apps, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and a password (stored only as a secure hash) or the sign-in method you choose. If a third-party sign-in such as Google is offered, we receive only your basic profile (name and email address) and nothing else from that account.
- Content you create: the data you enter into an app, such as songs, setlists, session notes, charts, invoices, or tour/show information.
- Subscription and billing details: if you buy a paid plan, payment is handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We receive your subscription status and a customer reference, but never your full card number.
- Usage and technical data: basic logs such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages or features used, and error reports, collected to keep the Service secure and working.
- Communications: messages you send us, including support requests sent to masterbusmdm@gmail.com.
2. How we use information
- To create and secure your account and give you access to the apps you are enrolled in.
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service and its features.
- To process subscriptions and enforce plan limits.
- To send transactional email such as sign-in, verification, and account notices.
- To detect abuse, prevent fraud, and protect the security of the Service.
- To respond to your questions and requests.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
3. AI features
Some apps include optional AI-assisted features. When you use one, the text or data you submit for that feature is sent to an AI service provider to generate a result and returned to you. We send only what is needed for the request you made. Do not submit information you do not want processed this way.
4. Service providers who process data for us
We use trusted providers to run the Service, and they may process your information only to perform services for us:
- Supabase – database, authentication, and file storage.
- Netlify – website hosting and delivery.
- Stripe – payment processing for paid plans.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) – sending transactional email.
- AI service providers – processing requests you make to optional AI features.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business.
5. Shared account and app access
MasterBus apps share a single secure database and sign-in system, with each app’s data kept in its own separate area. Access to each app is controlled per account; having an account does not by itself give you access to every app. Your content is visible only to you and to people you choose to share it with, plus our administrators where needed to operate and support the Service.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage only as needed to keep you signed in and remember basic preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.
7. Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account or ask us to, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we must keep certain records for legal, tax, or security reasons.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections, row-level access controls in our database, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your information, or close your account, by emailing us at the address below. Depending on where you live (for example, California or the European Economic Area), you may have additional rights under local law, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing. We will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. International users
We operate in the United States, and your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our providers operate.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above, and for material changes we will give additional notice where appropriate.
